    From my lawyer:

    We are being told that they are holding all of them for now. We are unsure
    where this will land because of congressional pressure and lawsuits that
    will be filed. We are still waiting to get more answers about what
    immigration plans to do.

    Oh, yes! I knew that! I have even tried this, but my tripod is such a hunk of junk that it wiggles and I can't get the photos to merge without hurting my eyes because every photo is a little off. Terrible blur!

    Ok, the HDR explains the very wild lighting on the buildings with the very forboding cloud cover. Thanks for clearing up my confusion, and now the photo makes a lot more sense to me. I was wondering about the light source in this, I figured that some stray ray of light had sneaked through to warm up the bricks.

    I did it few months back for my wife from CGI SFO. You should be fine. There ia one thing though. The I-693 medical exam needs your wife's passport number. You could do that only after you receive the new passport. May cause some delay.

    Yes, you are right partially.. only if we over do it.

    This is not over doing... This is just to keep up the momentum... dont want to loose it.


    I disagree...I think our next steps should be letters/webfaxes/phone calls to senators and Congressmen/women.

    The reason why the flower protest news gained some legs was because it was unique. Lets not over do things. Now that we have somewhat of the media coverage, especially in NY times & Washington Post, we should write letters to senators/congress and request assistance.

    As per Murthy web site today:

    Update : USCIS Website States Previous Editions of 485 FORM Accepted AILA Liaison has confirmed that prior editions of the I-485 are acceptable, as indicated on the USCIS website, and that USCIS will be issuing an FAQ with a revised answer to Question 33 imminently.

    There was no agreement signed. It was just agreed on an email. Am i still bound with the emplyment laws. Just want to understand before taking any steps. Also the project has ended after 4 month but i don't have any document. Also company B can't reveal any internal documents.

    Oh, So the project ended after 4 months. Then you do not need to pay a dime to Company A. In that case, Company B might have already informed company A that project ended and no more billing. If company B has not informed company A, that is Company b's problem. SO you do not worry as long as you havent signed any contract.

    What people usually do is get someone in their home country to be the Google Adsense beneficiary

    How do i register with google adsense to make someone from my home country as beneficiary.In that case wht do i need to give the persons taxid(like pan number from india).How can i do it?

    Just change your registration info and set it to someone outside the US. I am not sure if they will ask you for any number if you are outside the US.

    MY intention was not to make this India Specific, but to bring to light the lobbying effort....Although the Bill is not passed....it is silently being pushed. The Immigration reform and SKILL is being touted and shouted abt so much, that it becomes a scare for congressmen to even touch it, let alone pass it.

    We have to work secretly more than ever..its important. and I hope IV is doing exactly that with Quinn and Gillespi

    The bill is passed by both the house now. All its needs is to reconsile by the commitee and its done for President's signature. This was priority for the President all the time since he announced in March 2006 in India. Ofsourse everthing needs lobbying. And IV, I think is doing its best in this regard.

    I think we should stop responding to this thread and leave it as it is. I am Indian and I am happy for India that this deal is passed. Now lets concentrate on our major problem, "The Green Card". Hope you all understand that.

    Sounds like a good idea...for those of us who missed the summer 2007 bus, this may be the only way of getting to an EAD status in the near future, going by the recent Visa bulletins and retrogression of EB2 & non-availability of EB3 year-round.

    I am thinking to start solid campaign for EAD and AP when pre filling for 485. Its in very begining stage. Once I get how many can join hand we can start a funding drive and some aggressive campaign for it. DHS and DOL are studing how to resolve this on going problem for Highly Skilled immigrants.at the end of day admin may come with pre filling for highly skilled.

    My problem with these hearings is that they play soccer with the interests of immigrants. There are pro and anti immigrant views in discussion.

    Enforcement is all about closing the borders and deporting immigrants. But why do we not see hearings to discuss and introduce bills that fine the employers and put them in jail if they hire an undocumented? But nobody, not even the anti-immigrant groups are pushing for such a bill. A lot of undocumented problem will be solved if employers cannot hire undocumented. We call immigrants as illegal, but why can't we use the same standard for employers who illegally hire undocumented?

    Secondly when they talk about legalization and path to citizenship, there is no country limits for them. But as soon as we talk about removing country limits in front of the same people, we hear talks about diversity etc.

    The same people who favor legals in such discussions, become anti-legal when they have a chance to do something for legals. Why a simple bill like recapture not introduced by these same people till now?

    Overall Immigration is more about politics, votes than actually solving a problem. If these folks are serious about fixing a problem, a lot could have been done till now. We need to hear more action than just talk.

    As per EBFAQ release by USCIS dated July 23, the

    Q7: Which fees apply to I-765 and I-131 applications associated with AOS applications filed on or
    July 30th under the July Bulletin?
    A7. The fee of $180 for Forms I-765 and the fee of $170 for Form I-131 will remain in effect for those aliens eligible to file an employment-based adjustment of status application pursuant to July Visa Bulletin
    107. These fees will remain in effect for all such applications filed between July 17 � August 17, 2007.


    As per Oh-Law Firm , it states the fees is 180 for EAD and 170 for AP if only filed concurrently.
    Do you guys also have same understanding.

    My company has filed by AOS and I am filing EAD/AP on my own, I am now confused that if I file me EAD/AP on August 15th , what fees I will have to pay - 180 or 340 for EAD , 170 or 305 for AP.
    Can someone please verify.

    Both the employer and the Attorney are tight lipped on my first I-140. Is there a way to take help of some other Attorney and ask them to get the details regarding my first I-140?

    Thank you for the additional info VVR Murthy. I plan on sending everything I have including a letter from HR and manager. Surprisingly they ask for Original Pay Stubs and Bank Statements, most payroll and banks are going paperless and BOA now charges $10 for a custom letter!!
